How to Set Default WiFi on iPhone: A Step-by-Step Guide

If you’re the proud owner of the new iPhone 13 Pro Max, you may be excited to test out some of its features. One thing you definitely want to get right is connecting to the fastest WiFi network available. If you have multiple networks at home, it can be frustrating when your iPhone keeps connecting to the slower one. In this guide, we’ll show you how to set the default WiFi on your iPhone.

First, you’ll need to check which WiFi network you’re currently connected to. Swipe down from the top of the screen to see the WiFi symbol. If it’s on, press and hold it to see a list of available networks. Find the WiFi network you want to connect to and press it.

Next, go to your WiFi settings. You should see the current network you’re connected to, as well as other nearby networks. Find the network you want to connect to and make sure the “auto join” option is switched on.

If you have multiple networks with the “auto join” option switched on, your iPhone may default to the slower one. To fix this, deselect the “auto join” option for the slower network. Then, select the faster network you want to connect to and make sure “auto join” is switched on.

To test if your iPhone is now connecting to the correct network, turn off WiFi and then turn it back on. Your iPhone should now automatically connect to the faster network.
