The new version 9.0 system update for the Nintendo switch comes with several new features. Firstly, there’s a search feature for the news which enables you to search all chat channels, the follow channels, or just by keywords. The user settings have been updated, and now you can display your QR code to check in for your Nintendo account, making it slightly easier. You can also get alarm notifications in the system settings, which allow you to set a reminder for a particular date and time of your choosing.
Furthermore, there is a new option under controllers and sensors called touch screen sensitivity. This option allows you to set your touch screen sensitivity to stylus, which results in better performance when using a stylus. This new setting reduces the perceptible lag that was noticeable before.
The switch light has also been updated. There is now an option to turn on or off the system button input. When turned off, the system will no longer receive input from the console buttons, with the exception of the capture and home buttons. The console can only be operated from a wirelessly paired controller, which will be sold separately.
The potentially biggest part of the update is the new feature that allows online play invites. You can now invite friends to join or play online games together by sending them an invite, and they’ll be able to jump in and play with you.
Overall, the version 9.0 system update is not a major update, but it does come with some useful features that make the Nintendo switch experience better. The update comes with the usual system stability and other minor changes. What do you think of the new features? Let us know in the comments.
