If you have various photos stored on iCloud and want to delete them from iCloud but keep them on your iPhone, there are two different options you can choose from.
The first option is to go to your settings and tap on your name at the very top. From there, tap on iCloud and then tap on manage storage towards the top. Tap on photos and hit the disable and delete button to delete all the photos on iCloud. However, keep in mind that this option will remove all photos and videos.
If there are specific photos or videos you want to delete from iCloud and keep on your iPhone, here’s what you can do:
First, toggle off iCloud photos to sever the link that brings all your photos from your phone to iCloud. It will give you an option to either remove them from your iPhone or download photos and videos. Tap download photos and videos to download all of them onto your iPhone.
To remove photos from iCloud, open Safari or Chrome and go to icloud.com. Sign in to your Apple ID account and tap on photos. Since you’ve downloaded all the photos and videos on your phone, you can start removing or deleting them from iCloud.
To delete a photo from iCloud, tap on it and hit the trash icon at the bottom right. Then, hit the delete button to remove it. The photo will still be in the “recently deleted” album, so you’ll need to tap on the albums icon and scroll down to recently deleted. Tap on the photo you want to delete and hit delete at the bottom left to permanently delete it from your iCloud account.
