How to Reinstall Safari on Your Computer

Safari has been a popular browser for years due to its fast and reliable performance. However, the company discontinued their support of the Windows version back in 2012. If you had the 2012 Windows version then you just need to install it like you would any other application. Just go to the Start menu, the control panel, the programs and features, and then select Safari and uninstall.

If you have it on the Mac OS, then it’s a little bit more complicated because you can’t actually uninstall it like you would any other application. It requires either a third-party software program or to reinstall your Mac OS. Here’s how you can reinstall Safari on your Mac:

If you’re having troubles with Safari, you can just reinstall it by clicking the Apple icon → click on restart → hold down the command R key. You’ll then open up to the OS X utilities menu and from there, select reinstalling or Mac OS. The thing about reinstalling your Mac OS is that it won’t actually affect your files, so you don’t have to worry about anything being deleted. Although it’s usually a good idea to backup anyway, it’s not normally a problem.

Once you get to the Apple icon, you can release the command R key and just wait until it starts up the OS X utilities options. Then select your language and click the continue arrow. From there, select reinstall OS X, click continue, and make sure that you’re connected to the Internet. Once it finishes connecting, you’ll click try again and you’re good to go.

Just click continue and follow the prompts until it downloads, restarts your computer, and the installation process takes place. Then you’ll reboot again, log in just like you normally would, and that’s what you need to do in order to reinstall Safari on your system.
