Have you ever found yourself with a cluttered desktop that’s filled with Finder windows? It can be frustrating to have to close them all one by one, especially if there are many windows open. Sure, you could click the little red X’s in the upper left-hand corner of each window, but that’s time-consuming and inefficient.
Fortunately, there is a simple keyboard shortcut that allows you to close all Finder windows at once. Just hold down the Alt or Option key, click on the “File” menu, and select “Close All”. Alternatively, you can use the keyboard shortcut Option + Command + W. This method is much faster than closing each window individually, and it’s especially useful when you have many windows open.
Even if you don’t have a ton of windows open, this keyboard shortcut can save you time and effort. Whether you have three or five windows open, it’s nice to be able to close them all with just a few keystrokes.
So, if you’re tired of clicking on multiple “X” buttons or you want to speed up your workflow, give this keyboard shortcut a try. Let us know what you think in the comments below!
