Do you want to share your YouTube videos on your Instagram profile? Unfortunately, you can’t do it directly from the YouTube app. But don’t worry, this tutorial will show you how to do it quickly and precisely.
First, open a web browser on your mobile device and go to YouTube. Note that the mobile version of YouTube won’t allow you to download videos, so you have to switch to the desktop version. To do this on Google Chrome, click on your channel icon and select “Desktop” from the options. You might have to try a few times to get the correct desktop site.
Once you’re on the desktop site, log in to your YouTube account and go to YouTube Studio. Click on “Videos” on the left-hand side to see a list of all the videos you’ve uploaded. Find the video you want to post on Instagram and click on its title.
This will open a new window. Click on the three dots in the top right-hand corner and select “Download”. The video will start downloading to your device.
Now, go back to Instagram and click on the plus icon to upload the video. Select the video you just downloaded and upload it like you normally would. You can choose to upload a short video (up to one minute) or a longer video for IGTV.
Once you’ve uploaded the video, you can trim it if necessary and add a caption, tags, location, and other information. Then, just post it like any other video on Instagram.
