If you’re an Alienware Aurora R11 owner who wants to upgrade or clean their system, you need to know how to open it up. Fortunately, it’s not as difficult as you might think, as shown in this step-by-step guide.
First, flip the case around so that the back is facing you. Locate the nut and remove the screw. Then, unlock the two locks on the sides, put your hand in, and flip the case back around.
To open the panel, gently pull on it and lift it up. This is a relatively easy process, unlike in the old days when opening cases was a hassle. Once you’ve opened the case, you’ll see that the back has two locks that need to be opened to access the fan part. You can find instructions on how to open it up on the back fan part.
To open the fan part, pull on the little thing located on the top. However, don’t be too gentle with it, as it requires a bit more force to open. This part holds up the GPU and is quite strong.
The Alienware Aurora R11 is water-cooled, so the CPU should be located where the water cooler is. The RAMs are also visible, and you’ll notice the vents located on the top. You may need to remove the GPU anti-sag folder to access the components.
To close the Alienware Aurora R11, find the nook and fit it in. Then, close the case and move the two hooks to the bottom position. The four slots on the side of the case correspond to the four slots on the outer casing. Fit them together and screw the nut back in, and you’re done!
