Snapchat is a great tool for sharing your daily life with friends and family. And while the app comes with plenty of fun filters and features, creating your own sound can make your stories and snaps even more unique. In this guide, we’ll show you how to create your own sound and add it to your Snapchat story or snaps.

To get started, you can either record a video and add a sound once you’re done, or you can create a sound before recording. You can choose from the list of songs provided, or create your own sound by hitting the record button and talking into it. You can then give it a name, make it public, and save the sound.

Once you’ve saved the sound, it will appear in your “My Sounds” section. Unfortunately, unlike on Instagram, you can’t search for actual songs on Snapchat. But you can still add a song by opening up a music app, like Spotify, and playing the song you want to use. Then, go back to Snapchat, hit record, and capture the sound you want to use.

Give your new sound a name and save it. It will now appear in your “My Sounds” section, ready for you to use on your snaps and stories.
