If you’re an Animal Crossing New Leaf fan, you know that customizing your character and your village is a big part of the game. One way to do that is by using QR codes to download custom designs made by other players. In this tutorial, we’ll show you how to get the QR machine and use it to download custom designs.
First, head up to Able Sisters and go into the clothing section of the shop. Mabel will greet you, but Sable won’t be nice to you the first time you talk to her. You’re going to have to talk to her every day for 10 days to get her to open up. Once she does, she’ll allow you to use the QR machine.
To use the QR machine, talk to Sable and tell her you’d like to use it. She’ll ask you what you want to do, and you’ll select “read a QR code.” Note that you’ll need to delete one of your custom designs, so make sure you’re okay with that before proceeding.
To find a QR code, simply Google “Animal Crossing New Leaf QR code.” Once you find one you like, take pictures of all four parts of the code. Then, go back to the QR machine and it will ask you if you’re okay with saving the design. If you are, hit “okay” and choose a spot to save it.
To wear your new custom design, press X on your pad and click on the pencil icon that holds all your patterns. Select the design you just saved, click “wear,” and your character will be wearing the new dress or shirt.
