How to Find Pantone Colors in Photoshop

If you’re a graphic designer, chances are you’ve heard of Pantone colors. Pantone is a standardized color matching system that allows designers to communicate and reproduce colors accurately. In this post, we’ll show you how to use Pantone colors in Adobe Photoshop 2021.

First, if you’re not familiar with Pantone, you can easily Google “what is Pantone” to learn more. Once you have a basic understanding, open Photoshop and click on the “Window” tab. From there, select “Swatches.”

If you don’t see the “Legacy Swatches” option, simply click on the little dropdown menu and switch to “Legacy Swatches.” This should reveal a folder of Pantone colors.

Select the Pantone color you want to use by expanding the folder. Once you’ve chosen your color, create a shape using the rectangle tool. As you move your mouse over the shape, it will become a color picker. Choose the Pantone color you want to use and apply it to the shape.

Repeat this process to add more Pantone colors to your design. You can create as many shapes as you want and pick different Pantone colors for each of them.

Using Pantone colors in Photoshop is a simple process that can elevate your designs to the next level. Now that you know how to use them, you can easily incorporate Pantone colors into your work.
