How to Do Front Flash on TikTok

If you’re looking to take a video using your front-facing camera on TikTok but it’s too dark, there’s a way to get around it. You can turn your screen really bright to make it seem like there’s a front flash. Here’s how to do it.

First, head into TikTok and hit the little plus icon at the bottom of the screen to add a new video. If you want to flip the camera around to use the front-facing camera, you may not be able to see anything if you’re in a dark room. To fix this, go into the Settings menu by hitting the three dots in the top right corner of the screen.

From there, scroll down to “Accessibility” and tap on “Display and Text Size.” You’ll see two options: “Classic Invert” and “Smart Invert.” Choose “Classic Invert” and your screen will turn black. However, if you go back into TikTok and use the front-facing camera, the whole screen will turn white, illuminating you and acting as a makeshift front flash.

Don’t worry, the classic invert feature won’t change the actual look of your camera, even though you’ll look inverted on the filter itself. Once you’re done taking your video, you can head back into Settings and turn off the classic invert feature.

This trick can come in handy if you’re in a low-light situation and need some extra illumination. Give it a try and let us know if you have any questions in the comments below. Happy TikToking!
