How to Connect Moto G4 to PC and Transfer Photos and Pictures

If you own a Motorola phone and want to transfer photos and pictures directly to your Windows computer or laptop, the process is pretty simple. All you need is a cable to connect the two devices. In this guide, we will show you how to connect your Moto G4 to a PC and transfer photos and pictures.

Firstly, grab your cable. If your phone is a Moto G Power, you will need a USB Type-C cable. If you have a Thunderbolt connection or a USB-C port, you can use a USB Type-C to USB-C cable. However, if your Motorola phone has a micro USB, you will need a micro USB instead.

Once you have connected your phone to your laptop or computer using the cable, log into your phone. Then, click on enter. Open your file explorer and look for your phone. You will know it is connected when you see the name of your phone on the screen.

However, if nothing pops up on your screen, you need to go back to your phone. Scroll down the notifications and look for ‘Android system charging this device via USB’. Tap on the down arrow near it and then tap for more options. Tap on ‘File transfer’ to transfer data from your phone to your computer.

Now, go back to your computer and click on your phone. You will see all your photos and videos in the dcim folder. Double click on the folder and then on the camera folder. From here, you can save the photos and videos directly to your Windows computer or make a new folder to save them.

To make a new folder, right-click on your laptop, go to ‘new’ and select ‘folder’. Name the folder whatever you want. You can now drag and drop the photos and videos you want into this folder.

Once you have transferred the data, you can unplug your phone from your laptop or computer. It is that simple. If you face any issues during the process, leave a comment below.
