If you don’t have Wi-Fi at home, but you want to use your phone’s hotspot to use Google Chromecast, it’s possible. All you need is two mobile devices, whether it’s two mobile phones, a mobile phone, and a tablet, or a mobile phone and a laptop. In this post, we’ll be using two mobile phones.
First, you need to disconnect the first mobile phone from the internet. Then, go up to settings, connections, and down to mobile hotspot, and turn it on. This device is going to be our hotspot, and if you click on that, you can come in and see the device’s name. Now that the hotspot is turned on, you can turn this one off and put it down.
Next, you need to pick up your second mobile device and connect it to the other one’s hotspot. To do that, hold down on the Wi-Fi symbol and click on the hotspot. It’s connecting and already connected because I’ve done it before. Still, if you haven’t done it before, it’ll ask you for the password, which you can see on the other phone.
Now this mobile phone is using this phone as a hotspot, so you’ll be able to go into YouTube and nearby devices. You have the Google cast, so click on that. It’s connecting, and it will ask you for a pin. The pin number is located on your screen down below. If you don’t have this pin, you need to go into Google home and activate gas mode, which is in your settings. Once you put in the pin, you’re ready to go.
You can use this method to cast to a computer monitor or a TV monitor through the mobile phone using hotspot. If you pull down here, you can see you’re using the other phone as a hotspot, and you can also stop that. You can also use Netflix, and the device should change to Netflix, and you’re ready to watch your show.
Overall, it’s a simple process to connect Chromecast to mobile hotspot. All you need is two mobile devices, and you’re good to go.
