If you’re looking to connect your AirPods to your Xbox Series S console, then you’re in luck. It is quite simple to do and by the end of this tutorial, you will have the Xbox game audio coming from your AirPods. The process will work on the Series X console as well but we do have a dedicated tutorial for that.
The first step is to go on your Xbox and open up settings. Then click on Devices and connections and find Remote features. Make sure you turn on Enable remote features. Keep in mind that if your internet is really slow, this may not work for you. However, the audio might be lagging a little bit if your internet is slow.
If you have a bug where the Xbox Series S is not showing up in the Xbox app, go to System console info and change the name of the console. This will solve any issues you may get with the next steps.
The next step is to get the Xbox app, which is completely free to download. You can get it from the app store or the Google Play store. Sign in with your Xbox account and make sure it is the same account as the one which you signed into on your Xbox. Find your Series S and tap on Remote Play on this device.
You can now connect your AirPods to this device, and then this device is going to capture the audio from your Xbox. Just head over to Settings, Bluetooth, and pair your AirPods to your device.
Finally, turn off the audio from your TV if you have that on. You should now be able to hear the audio coming from your AirPods. Do keep in mind that the audio from the AirPods is a bit delayed, it really depends on your internet like how much delay you’re going to have.
