How to Check Apple Subscriptions

Subscribing to a software or service is a convenient way to access them, but what about unsubscribing? It’s not exactly obvious how to do it. The good news is, once you know where to look, it’s easy-peasy. Here’s how.

On your iPhone or iPad, go to Settings and tap on your name at the top. Next, tap on iTunes and App Store, which is usually about midway down the screen. Then, tap on “View Apple ID” and let your device identify you. Depending on which iPhone you have, this could be through touch ID or face ID.

Once you’re verified, scroll down and tap on “Subscriptions.” There may be two sections here. If you’re wondering why you suddenly don’t have access to a subscription, see if there’s an expired section. If the app you’re looking for is there, tap on it and resubscribe straight away.

But let’s focus on the first section – the active subscriptions. This section will show you which subscriptions you’re currently paying for, the title, a brief description, and when your next payment is due. To see more, tap on any line, and you’ll get more information.

Every subscription is slightly different, but the way you use them is identical. There will be a price for your local territory, and a checkmark next to the one you’re currently paying. To change to another fee option, tap on it, or tap on “Cancel Subscription” if you want to unsubscribe. Your subscription will move to the expired section, and you’re done.

Sadly, there’s no way to remove the expired subscription from the list, but the good news is that you can resubscribe straight away by tapping on it.

So, now that you know the ropes, why not check how many subscriptions you have? Were you surprised by the number? Let us know in the comments below.
