If you’ve ever wanted to change your Airdrop name on your iPhone, you might be surprised to learn that it’s actually pretty easy to do so. In this guide, we’ll walk you through the steps you need to take to change your Airdrop name, which will also change the name of your iPhone.
First, open up your Settings application. Scroll down to your General Settings and click About. Here, you’ll see the name of your iPhone, which is currently set to “iPhone 13” in the example given in the video.
To change your Airdrop name, click on the name option at the top of the screen. This will allow you to change your name, which will update in various areas of your iPhone. If, for some reason, this doesn’t change your name everywhere, you may need to also change your name in iCloud.
To change your name in iCloud, click on your iCloud name at the top of the screen. From there, you should see an option that says “Name, Phone Numbers, and Email.” Click that, and you’ll be able to change your name there as well.
Once you’ve changed your name, you should be good to go! Your new name will be reflected in your Airdrop name, which you can access by swiping down on your screen and clicking on the Airdrop option. From there, other people will be able to discover your new name and Airdrop files to you.
