Changing the passcode on your iPad is a simple task that doesn’t require too much time. Before changing it, you need to ensure that you know the existing passcode. If you forgot the passcode, try using Face ID or Touch ID to unlock it. If none of these options work, changing the passcode may not be possible.
To begin with, you need to navigate to your iPad’s settings panel. Once there, scroll down until you see the “Passcode Unlock” or “Face ID and Passcode” option. Click on it and enter your passcode when prompted.
You will then be taken to a new panel where you need to scroll down until you see the “Change Passcode” option. Click on it, and you’ll be asked to enter your old passcode again. Once you’ve typed it in, you can set up a new passcode.
Click on the “Passcode Options” to change the length of your new password. You can choose to keep it at six figures or change it to a four-digit passcode, which is more common. Type in the new passcode and click on “Next.” Type in the new passcode again to confirm it. Your new passcode will then be set.
