Are you looking to cancel your iCloud storage plan or subscription? Whether you want to downgrade to a lower storage plan or switch to the free plan, the process is quite simple. In this tech tip, we’ll guide you through the steps to cancel your iCloud + subscription on your iPhone or iPad.
First, open your settings on your iPhone or iPad and tap on your name at the top right corner. Then, go to iCloud and tap on “Manage Storage.” Here, you’ll see your current storage plan, and if you want to change it, tap on “Change Storage Plan.”
On the next page, you’ll see your current plan and upgrade options. To downgrade to a lower plan or switch to the free plan, tap on “Downgrade Options” at the bottom of the page.
On the downgrade options page, you can choose to switch to the free plan by tapping on “Free” and then tapping on “Done” at the top right corner. You’ll be asked to confirm the downgrade, and if you’re using more than five gigs of storage, you should delete some data before the plan takes effect.
Note that when you cancel your plan, it won’t cancel immediately. You’ll continue using the current plan until the next day when it’s due for renewal. The cancellation will take effect automatically on that day.
Once you’ve confirmed the downgrade, tap on “Done” again, and you’re all set. You can check your storage plan by going back to “Downgrade Options,” and you’ll see that you’ve downgraded to the free plan.
That’s all there is to it. Canceling your iCloud storage plan or subscription is a straightforward process. If you have any questions or comments, feel free to leave them down below.
