Unwanted phone calls are already annoying, but it’s even more frustrating when the caller hides their number. Fortunately, you can still block these calls on your iPhone. Here’s how:
For iPhones running iOS 13 and up, you can silence unknown callers with just one switch. Open your Settings app and find your Phone app listed below. Once you tap on it, you can manage your settings. Near the bottom of the page, you’ll see a setting labeled “Silence Unknown Callers.” Simply toggle this on, and you’re all set!
If you don’t have this feature, you can still block these calls effectively through your phone’s Do Not Disturb feature. Open the “Do Not Disturb” tab in your Settings app and tap on “Allow Calls From.” From there, select “All Contacts,” and you’ll only receive calls from your current contacts while this mode is enabled.
For older iPhones, you can work around the issue through your Contacts app. Open your Phone app and tap on the Contacts icon at the bottom of the screen. Then, tap on the Add icon at the top right to add a new contact. Name it “No Caller ID” and set its phone number to 000000000. Tap on done to create the contact, then scroll down to the bottom of the page and tap on “Block this Caller.” Finally, tap on “Block Contact” to confirm your decision.
If you’re still getting these types of calls, you can check with your carrier provider to see if they offer the option to block them for you.
Blocking no caller ID on your iPhone is easy. By following these steps, you can prevent these frustrating calls from interrupting your day.
