As the world becomes more and more digital, it’s not surprising that people are turning to platforms like YouTube to make a living. But how much money do YouTubers actually make? It’s a question that many people ask, and one that Ryan Higa, better known as Nigahiga, decided to answer in a recent video.
According to Ryan, the amount of money YouTubers make depends on a few different factors. For starters, every thousand views equate to about $2.70 in revenue. Ryan used his own analytics to show that he made around $669 off of 240,000 views in one day. This means that for every thousand views, he made about $2.70.
Using this calculation, Ryan estimated that some of the biggest YouTubers in the game are making millions of dollars per month. For example, PewDiePie has over 13 billion views, which means he’s potentially made over $35 million off of his channel. Meanwhile, a channel called Ryan’s Toy Review has over 6 billion views, which means the channel owner has made over $16 million by reviewing toys.
But it’s not just ad revenue that makes YouTubers rich. Many of them make six-figure sums through brand deals and sponsorships. Ryan himself was offered $400 to do a video on an app and an additional $0.50 for each download. While he didn’t go through with the deal because he thought the app was a scam, he noted that YouTubers with much larger audiences could be offered thousands of dollars for similar deals.
So, how much money do YouTubers make? The answer is that it varies, but the biggest names in the game are making millions of dollars per month. While it’s not easy to achieve that level of success, Ryan’s video gives some insight into how it’s possible to make a living on YouTube.
