YouTube Premium for students is a student plan that offers a one-month free trial. After that, they will charge you $15 a month, and only students are eligible for this plan. The membership is only applicable for four years. For example, if you apply today and after four years, this membership will be canceled because you are no longer a student. You have to buy a regular membership, and every year you have to verify that you are still a student of that university.
To get this membership, you have to click on “Try it free” and go through the options. But before that, let’s see what is included in the YouTube Premium. The ad-free and YouTube Premium is the common thing. Even before that, in YouTube Music, it was also ad-free. But YouTube Premium for students is also ad-free, which means there is no advertisement going to occur.
If you are buying a family or individual plan, you will have another option. In an individual plan, you will be the only person using the YouTube Premium. And in the family plan, only five members of that family will be allowed to use the YouTube paid membership. It’s ad-free download and go, which means you can download YouTube content. To start this plan, you have to click on “Try it free” and continue. Fill up the form, and if you’re living in the United Kingdom, go for UK and go for your university. Then write your legal name. You have to go through two choices: verified using school credentials, or you can use verified using documents review. If you have documents easily accessible to you, go for verify using document review.
Fill up the documents, and you just have to put up your documents to verify that you are a legal student of that university. Submit them, and it takes a few days for them to review your data. If it works, then you will be in the Partnership Program and the YouTube Premier program, and you will benefit from all the things that YouTube has to offer.
