Installing extensions for Adobe applications can be frustrating, especially if your ZXP installer shows that the extension is not compatible with the applications you are using, even if it is compatible. However, there are two different methods that you can use to easily install your extension for your Adobe application.
Method 1: ZXP Installer
The first method is to use the ZXP installer. To use this method, you will need to download the ZXP installer application, which is available for free. Once you have downloaded and installed the application, you can drop the extension into the ZXP installer. If you get an error message, close the installer and try downloading the extension again. Once the extension is installed, you can check if it is working by opening your Adobe application and going to Windows > Extension.
Method 2: Manual Installation
The second method is to install the extension manually. To do this, you will need to uninstall the extension using the ZXP installer first. Then, right-click on the extension and select “rename”. Change the extension from ZXP to ZIP and click “yes”. Extract the ZIP file using a program like WinRAR. Copy the extracted folder and go to C drive > Program Files (x86) > Common Files > Adobe > CEP > Extensions. Paste the folder into this location and click “continue”. Your extension should now be successfully installed.
By using either of these methods, you can easily install extensions for your Adobe applications. No need to worry about compatibility issues or frustrating error messages.
