If you’re wondering how to turn off your Oculus Quest remote controller, there are two ways to do it. The first and easiest way is to simply set the controller down. If the headset turns off, the controller will turn off as well. Additionally, if the controller is not in use, it will automatically turn off, even if you’re using your hands instead.
However, if you don’t trust the automatic turnoff feature, or it’s not working for you, you can also remove the battery from the controller. If you have the Quest Pro, this won’t work, but for the standard Quest controller, swipe down on the side to find a little arrow. Slide it off to reveal the battery compartment, and simply remove the battery. You can leave the controller down with the battery out, and when you’re ready to use it again, pop the battery back in.
Keep in mind that there is no on/off switch for the controller, but the light will turn back on when it’s in use. If you have any questions or additional thoughts, feel free to leave them in the comment section below.
