If you’re a Mac user, you might have noticed that the Dock disappears and reappears when you move your mouse over it. Similarly, the menu bar or toolbar can also disappear on its own. While the feature can be useful, some users might find it annoying. In this tutorial, we’ll show you how to keep the Dock visible all the time, along with the menu bar or toolbar.
To get started, click on the Apple icon on the top left corner of your screen. Next, click on the second option, which is System Preferences. Alternatively, you can also access System Preferences from your Dock.
Once you’re in System Preferences, find the option that says Dock and Menu. If you have a newer version of macOS, you’ll see the option Dock and Menu. However, if you have an older version, you’ll only see Dock. Click on the Dock and Menu option.
You’ll see a lot of options, but the one you need to find is “Automatically hide and show the Dock.” If this option is checked, the Dock will disappear when you’re not using it. Uncheck this option if you want the Dock to be visible all the time. Similarly, if you want the menu bar or toolbar to be visible all the time, find the option “Automatically hide and show the menu bar” in the General section of System Preferences.
Now you know how to keep the Dock and menu bar/toolbar visible all the time on your Mac. No more disappearing and reappearing!
