If you have a missing network adapter from your device manager in your Windows PC, don’t panic. There are several methods to get it back, and I’ll show you some of them in this post.
First, you can try the basic method by going to “View” and clicking on “Show Hidden Folder.” Sometimes, the network adapter may be hidden, and this option will reveal it. If this doesn’t work, you can try the second method by going to “Action,” clicking on “Add Legacy Hardware,” and selecting “Install the driver that I manually selected from a list.” Then, scroll down to find the network adapter and select it, followed by the manufacturer.
If the second method doesn’t work, you can try the third method by going to “Start” and typing “Network Reset” and clicking on “Reset Now.” This option will remove and reinstall all your network adapters and reset other networking settings. Note that you’ll have to configure your network adapter again after resetting.
If the third method doesn’t work, you can try the fourth method by going to “Start” and typing “Services” and clicking on “WN Auto Config.” Ensure that the starter type is automatic and the services are running.
Finally, if none of the methods above work, you can try the last method by opening any browser in your PC and typing “Internal Network Adapter for Windows 10.” Click on the official link of Intel, select the appropriate download (32-bit or 64-bit), and follow the on-screen instructions.
If none of these methods work, it’s possible that you have some hardware issues with your laptop or Wi-Fi, and it’s better to consult professionals. I hope one of these methods works for you. Let me know in the comments which option helped you.
