Amazon Studio Plans Show Surveillance Footage: How to Use Your Echo Show As a Security Camera

The Amazon Echo Show is a popular device that many people use for things like FaceTime and Drop Ins. However, did you know that you can also use it as a security camera? In this article, we’ll be showing you how to set up your Echo Show as a security camera and how to use it.

First, you’ll need to make some changes to the device before you can start using this feature. Swipe down from the top of the device and click on “Settings.” Scroll down to “Camera” and toggle on “Home Monitoring.” You’ll need to verify your account by putting in your password for your Amazon account.

Once you’ve verified your account, you’ll need to jump over to the Alexa app on your phone. Click on the “Device” tab at the bottom and scroll through the different tabs until you find “Cameras.” You may need to close out of the app and relaunch it if you’re having trouble finding your Echo Show 5.

Once you’ve found your Echo Show 5, click on it and it will bring up a live view of what’s going on. It’s important to note that this is just a live view and does not do any recordings. If you need extra features, you may want to consider a security system.

One feature to highlight is that the camera displays that somebody is watching through the camera. It will let you know if somebody is watching you, so you’ll be aware. You can also click “Stop” to kill the live feed.

Using your Echo Show as a security camera can be a great way to keep an eye on things when you’re not home. While it may not have all the features of a traditional security system, it’s definitely worth considering. If you plan on using this feature, let us know in the comments below.
