If you’re like many people, you may have created a Facebook page that you no longer use or need. However, with Facebook’s updated version, it can be a bit tricky to figure out how to deactivate these pages. In this post, we’ll walk you through the steps to deactivate a page on Facebook.
First, go to your Facebook page and click on “Pages.” From there, select the page you want to deactivate. In this example, we’ll be using “Rachel’s Pampered Chef Corner.”
Once you’ve selected the page, click “Use Page.” Then, go back to your profile and click on “Settings and Privacy.” From there, click on “Settings” and then “Privacy.”
Scroll down until you see “Facebook Page Information.” At the bottom of this section, you’ll see the option to “Temporarily deactivate or permanently delete your page.”
Select “Deactivate,” but keep in mind that this will remove all of the page’s content and make it unavailable to anyone who previously had access to it. If you’re sure you want to deactivate the page, click “Yes.”
Facebook will then try to convince you to log out instead of deactivating the page. However, if you want to deactivate it, click “Deactivate” again.
And that’s it! Your page is now deactivated and no longer visible on Facebook. If you ever decide to reactivate it, you can do so at any time.
