Are you a fan of World at War Zombies and interested in playing modded maps? In this tutorial, we will guide you through the process of downloading and installing modded maps on both the original World at War game and the modded Plutonium T4 client.
Firstly, you will need to download the map itself. We recommend using UGX mods, but be cautious as some maps may contain viruses. You will need to create an account on UGX to download maps. Once you have found the map you want, click on the download link and save it onto your desktop.
Next, open the Windows Run dialogue by pressing the Windows key and R together. In the Run box, type “app data” and press Enter. From there, navigate to Local > Activision and find your World at War folder. If you have already installed a mod, there should be a “mods” folder. If not, create one. Copy the entire path of the folder.
Open the map you downloaded earlier and it will bring up a prompt. Click “Yes” to allow it. Click “Next” and accept the terms and conditions. Paste the path you copied earlier into the installer and click “Install”. It will install the map and may bring up an error message, which is normal.
For the original World at War game, you’re done! The map will be available to play. However, if you want to play on the modded Plutonium T4 client, you will need to navigate back to the App Data folder and find the Plutonium T4 folder. Click on “Storage” and then “t4” as this is the World at War version. If there is no “mods” folder, create one.
Drag and drop the map file into the “mods” folder. Launch the game, click on “Solo/Co-op Zombies” and then click “Mods”. Your downloaded map should be listed there. Double-click on it and the game will reopen. You can now play the map either solo or with friends.
We hope this tutorial has been helpful in guiding you through the process of downloading and installing modded World at War Zombies maps. Enjoy playing your new maps and don’t forget to stay safe while downloading mods!
