Are you excited to unbox your new Polk Command Bar and start enjoying your favorite TV shows and movies with high-quality sound? In this guide, we’ll walk you through the easy setup process to get your Polk Soundbar connected to your TV in no time.
First, let’s start with unboxing your Polk Command Bar. Simply lay the box on its side, release the tabs, and slide it out. You’ll find everything you need for setup included in the box, including wall mount spacers if you decide to mount your Command Bar on the wall.
Next, it’s time to connect your Command Bar to your TV. Look at the back of your TV and see if there’s an HDMI input labeled ARC (Audio Return Channel). This input will send high-quality multi-channel audio from sources directly connected to your TV to your new Command Bar. It also allows you to take advantage of another HDMI feature called CEC (Consumer Electronics Control). This feature disables your TV speakers, provides an on-screen volume graphic, and lets you control the Command Bar using your TV’s remote control.
If your TV doesn’t have an ARC-enabled HDMI input, connect the Command Bar to your TV’s optical output. However, we still recommend connecting the Command Bar to your TV using an HDMI cable, so you can take advantage of the CEC functionality.
Now it’s time to position the Command Bar and connect it to an AC outlet. Then, position the subwoofer and connect it to an AC outlet. Once plugged in, the Command Bar and subwoofer should pair automatically within 30 seconds. You can verify that the Command Bar and subwoofer have been paired by looking for a solid green light on the back of the subwoofer. If you have any pairing issues, refer to the Quick Start Guide.
Congratulations! You’re all set up for audio playback on your Command Bar. If you want to learn how to set up Amazon Alexa functionality or see other helpful videos, you can find them on Polk Audio’s website or YouTube channel. Enjoy your new Polk Soundbar and enhanced TV viewing experience!
