Remote play has been a feature on the PlayStation Vita since its release way back in 2011. However, many gamers still don’t know that they can use this feature to play PS4 games on their Vita when they’re away from home. While this may seem tricky, it’s not that complicated, and in this post, we’ll show you how to do it.
Firstly, there are a few minor hardware tweaks that you need to make to achieve this. On your Vita, go to settings and tap into power-save settings. Make sure that you uncheck the use Wi-Fi power save mode to ensure that your Wi-Fi signal is as strong as possible.
On your PS4, make sure that the system you’re trying to remote play from has been set as the primary account. You can do this by going into settings, account management, and activate as your primary PS4. Also, ensure that you’re using a wired connection to help with latency.
Next, go to settings, power save settings, and click on set features available in rest mode. Make sure that you have all three boxes checked, especially the enable turning on PS4 from Network, which will allow you to turn on your PS4 from your Vita remotely.
Once all these settings have been configured, you can connect your Vita to your PS4. Make sure that your PS4 is in sleep mode and that your Vita is connected to a Wi-Fi hotspot, which can be your cell phone. Then exit out of the Vita and go to ps4 link start to start the remote play.
Although it can be a bit choppy, remote play lets you play your PS4 games on your Vita while you’re away from home.
