Nintendo has finally released an update that includes the Bluetooth feature on the original Nintendo Switch. In this how-to blog post, we will show you how to connect any Bluetooth headset to your Nintendo Switch.
Firstly, make sure your Switch is up to date, which is currently version 13.0.0. To check if Bluetooth audio is available, go to the home page and click on settings. Bluetooth audio will be visible if your Switch is up to date.
To connect your Bluetooth device, put it in pairing mode and click on “pair device” on your Switch. The device should pop up, and you can select it to connect. Note that up to two wireless controllers can connect while using Bluetooth audio, and Bluetooth audio will be disconnected during local communication. You may also experience audio latency depending on your Bluetooth device.
For this how-to, we used the Turtle Beach Stealth 700 Gen 2 headset. To adjust the audio, use the controls on your headset or hold the home button on your Switch to adjust the volume.
It’s amazing that the original Nintendo Switch had Bluetooth all along, and we hope this how-to helps you connect your Bluetooth device to your Switch.
