If you’ve recently changed your WiFi network name or experienced an internet outage, you may need to reconnect your Amazon Echo devices to your home network. In this article, we’ll show you how to change the WiFi network on your Echo Show device.
To get started, open up the Amazon Alexa app on your smartphone or tablet. Tap on the Devices icon, which looks like a little house, at the bottom of the screen. From there, select Echo & Alexa from the top left corner of the screen, and then choose the device you want to connect to your new network.
Once you’ve selected your device, scroll down to the bottom of the screen and tap on the Wi-Fi Network and Bluetooth option. Then, tap on Change to begin the process of connecting your Echo Show to your new WiFi network.
Follow the on-screen instructions to put your Echo Show into setup mode, which involves pressing and holding the action button for about 15 seconds. You’ll know it’s in setup mode when the orange light is circling around the device.
From there, you’ll need to select your Echo Show from the available devices and then choose your new WiFi network. You may need to enter your WiFi password manually if it’s not automatically pulled from the device.
Once you’ve successfully connected your Echo Show to your new WiFi network, you’re all set! Please note that these instructions are specific to Echo Show devices, but similar steps can be taken to connect other Amazon Echo devices to your home network.
