Have you ever handed your iPhone to your kids and then realized they made in-app purchases without your permission? It can be frustrating to see those charges on your credit card statement. Luckily, there’s a simple solution to completely disable any in-app purchases on your iPhone.
First, go to your iPhone’s Settings and tap on Screen Time. If you haven’t enabled Screen Time yet, turn it on. Once you’re in Screen Time, scroll down to Content & Privacy Restrictions and tap on it. Then, tap on iTunes & App Store Purchases and enter your password. It’s a good idea to set up a unique password for your Screen Time so that no one else can disable this feature.
Finally, you’ll see an option for In-App Purchases. Tap on it and select Don’t Allow. Now, any user on your iPhone won’t be able to make any in-app purchases until you turn the feature back on in your Screen Time settings.
By taking these simple steps, you’ll be able to prevent any unwanted in-app purchases. It’s easy to set up, so there’s no need to worry about your kids or anyone else accidentally charging purchases to your account.
