If you just got your brand new PlayStation 5, you may be wondering how to take a screenshot on it. Thankfully, Sony and other gaming console manufacturers have made it much easier for us to screenshot our gameplay.
To take a screenshot on PS5, you need to look on the front of your PlayStation controller. Right on the very middle, you’ll see a little pad thing that you can write on. To the left side of that, right next to the arrow keys, you’ll see a little button with three lines sticking out of it. That is your new create button.
Clicking on the create button will bring up a specific panel that allows you to take a screenshot of whatever you’re doing. You can even click on the little image on the left, open it up, and do whatever you want to do with it. You can’t edit it, but you can delete it if you accidentally screenshot it.
All these screenshots are now saved in your media gallery. To access it, click the home button (PlayStation button) and find the media gallery app. Once you open it, it will show you all the screenshots that you have in your specific PlayStation 5. You might even see some other screenshots and even some other gameplay that just automatically saved.
You can go through here and delete the ones you don’t want to save as much storage on your device. To summarize, click the create button, hit the middle section where it says screenshot, and take a screenshot of whatever you’re doing.
That’s pretty much it! No need to worry about complicated menus or buttons. If you have any questions or anything, let us know in the comment section below.
